iSchool Hosting 2013 Oxford Internet Institute Summer Doctoral Programme

Today the Faculty of Information (iSchool) at the University of Toronto begins hosting the 11th annual Oxford Internet Institute (OII) Summer Doctoral Programme (SDP), which runs until July 19, 2013.

The SDP is one of the highlights of the OII's academic year bringing together 25-30 stellar doctoral students from around the world for two weeks of study with leading academics in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Read more »

Michelle Gay's summer is off to a great start.

Artist and current student in the KMD stream at the iSchool, Michelle has an exhibition at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo. "spampoet" will be on display on the PI digital screens until September 2013. Read more »

SSHRC Grant Helps Fill Gap in Research on Children's Online Media Making

iSchool Assistant Professor, Sara Grimes, has received a SSHRC Partnership Development Grant valued at $177,000 to undertake research in association with media giants such as Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF Kids), Storybird Inc., etc. and academic institutions such as Faculty of Information (UofT), Utah State University, Simon Fraser University, and Centennial College.
